Ever Wondered?

How do I deal with my Mother in Law?

I worry too much about what other people think.

I’ve achieved so many of my goals, shouldn’t I be happier?

What if you could……

Use strategies that are culturally suited to the South Asian value system as you honour elders and yourself

Learn how to support loved ones while also respecting your capacity

Focus on living your own life with a balanced view of others’ opinions

Understand your emotions, get curious and use them to develop more balance in your life

Overcome the barriers to living happily regardless of the goals you’ve achieved

and SO MUCH MORE

A Humble Offering to the South Asian Community

Balanced Self Psychotherapy has supported upwards of 150 clients over the last two years.

I cherish the time I spend with people, helping them navigate this challenging world. I am elated to see the changes that we co-create, the laughs we have and the tears we share.

I often think about those that haven’t called me. My clients’ husbands, wives, partners, sisters, brothers, friends who haven’t been able to access psychotherapy for a number of reasons. I think about my limited availability with a full practice.

I wondered what else I could do to serve my immediate community and beyond. How could I fill this gap?

Thus was born Balanced Self Academy.

A collection of self paced mini-courses at affordable price points to provide a different kind of mental health support.

Not therapy, but carefully and lovingly curated culturally specific content.
